THE TEA EXPO

Spend the day tasting all sorts of teas from over hundred exhibitors. It is a rare opportunity to taste such high quality teas from China and Australia and get to personally engage with different tea producers and learn more about tea.

TEA APPRECIATION CENTRE

Taste all kinds of teas from different exhibitors all in the one place! Tea will be brewed professionally by 10 Chinese tea ceremony experts from Topo Tea. The Tea Appreciation Centre will be open to the public every day during the Tea Expo. Two sessions will be run each day, 2 hours per session. We aim to share and introduce good teas from the exhibitors, and encourage you to visit your favourite stalls after. You will get to vote for your favourite tea at the end of the tea appreciation and you may receive some free tea gifts too!

TEA RELATED FORUMS

We have invited reputable guests from various industries to speak at the opening ceremony of the Tea Expo. Topics include tea, Chinese culture and tourism.

A Tea Cultural Forum will also be held on the Expo, tea professionals  from China and Australia will join us to open up a dialogue of “ Tea From China to Australia”. It aims to discuss the tea industry on a global scale, international tea trading, tea culture from the East to the West, the current risk and challenges in the global tea market,  and many more interesting topics. Contents of the forum will be posted on our website to share with the public.

CULTURAL PERFORMANCES

A traditional Chinese Worship Ceremony will be held during the opening ceremony. It is a rare opportunity to witness such authentic rituals from thousand of years ago from China.

As part of the Chinese culture performance, we have also invited the  China Oriental Performing Arts Group  to perform a musical dance 12 Zodiac Story performance during the 4 days event.

There will be different tea cultural performance activities , organised by the tea exhibitors to give you a beautiful tea experience.

ART GALLERY

During the 4 day Tea Expo, our Art Gallery will be opened to the public. There will be a Chinese painting and calligraphy exhibition, book lauching event, and Chinese Wooden furniture show and more.

‘LOVE BETWEEN TWO CRANES’ PHOTO EXHIBITION

Witness the beautiful seven year love affair between two cranes, a truthful record of their loyal love from the beginning to the end, at a special Photographic Exhibition by internationally acclaimed crane expert Wang Keju.

Wang Keju works at CRRC Qiche Group and is known as the father of red-crowned cranes. He is an artist of national treasure level and is bringing the “Love Between Two Cranes” exhibition to Sydney.  The exhibition illustrates his love and care for nature and shows his life as a worker of CRRC Qiche Group.
